MANNIN CANCERS ANNOUNCED AS OFFICIAL CHARITY PARTNER FOR TT 2025
The Isle of Man TT Races is proud to announce Mannin Cancers Support Group as the Official Charity Partner for TT 2025. This partnership brings together the world’s greatest road race with a local charity delivering vital support in the fight against cancer in the Isle of Man.
As part of the partnership, Mannin Cancers has created the TT Legends series, a very special extension to its Wheelie Good Cause fundraising initiative.
The ‘TT Legends’ series is a standout fundraising initiative created by Mannin Cancers giving fans a once-in-a-lifetime chance to own one of fifteen stunning, full-size TT Legends model bikes. Each bike is being sold at an auction event on the evening of Saturday 7th June 2025 (Senior TT race day) with all proceeds donated to Mannin Cancers to support their fight against cancer in the Isle of Man.
A heartfelt tribute to the Isle of Man’s unrivalled road racing heritage, the TT Legends initiative captures the passion, pride and nostalgia that surrounds the TT. Each meticulously crafted model celebrates an iconic moment in TT history - featuring legendary riders and machines from Mike Hailwood’s Ducati NCR900SS to Michael Dunlop’s record-breaking MD Racing Yamaha R6.
Each model is a one-off, fully authenticated and approved. Designs are inspired by both the original race liveries and the helmets of the riders most closely associated with the bikes, creating a powerful, visual celebration of TT history that fans are sure to treasure.
GOING UNDER THE HAMMER
With the support of some of the most recognisable names in the TT paddock, riders, broadcasters, artists, and creatives - Mannin Cancers has brought to life fifteen full-size sculpted motorcycles, each inspired by a legendary machine and rider that has left its mark on the Mountain Course. Spanning from 1978 to the present day, these TT Legends bikes form a unique tribute to the machines and personalities that define the world’s most iconic road race.
On display throughout TT 2025 in the TT Paddock at the Grandstand, each one-off model celebrates a defining moment in TT history. Among them is Mike Hailwood’s 1978 Ducati NCR900SS, the fairytale comeback machine that carried him to a famous victory after an 11-year absence. Graeme Crosby’s 1981 Heron Suzuki XR-69 is also featured, the bike that delivered Classic and Formula One TT wins and helped secure his Formula One World Championship title. From the same era, Tony Rutter’s 600cc Pantah Ducati reflects Ducati’s dominance in the F2 class, while Joey Dunlop’s 1983 Honda Britain marks the beginning of his unprecedented six-year Formula One winning streak.
The collection continues with Robert Dunlop’s 1990 JPS Norton RCW588, a lightweight, rotary-engined machine that powered him to a podium finish. Steve Hislop’s 1992 Norton 588cc, remembered for its dramatic win over Carl Fogarty in what many regard as the greatest TT battle of all time, also takes its place in the line-up. Fogarty’s 1992 Loctite Yamaha 750 is included too - his final TT appearance, where he set a new lap record of 123.61mph despite narrowly missing out on victory. Rounding out the decade is Nick Jefferies’ 1994 Britten V1000, a revolutionary carbon-fibre machine celebrated for its innovative design and speed.
Philip McCallen’s 1996 Honda Britain RVF750 RC45 represents the mid-90s, commemorating his four-win TT week and domination in both the F1 and Senior races. Joey Dunlop’s 2000 Honda SP1 captures one of the most emotional moments in TT history - his final big-bike win, part of a memorable hat-trick at the age of 48. Also featured is David Jefferies’ 2000 V&M Yamaha R1, the first machine to break the 125mph lap barrier and a key player in DJ’s back-to-back TT hat-tricks.
From the new millennium, John McGuinness’s 2007 HM Plant Honda stands out as the bike that broke the 130mph lap barrier - an iconic achievement in TT history. Ian Hutchinson’s 2010 Padgetts Motorcycles Honda is also represented, the machine behind his legendary five-win week that made TT history. In more recent years, Peter Hickman’s 2023 BMW M1000RR holds the record for the fastest-ever TT lap at an astonishing 136.358mph, while Michael Dunlop’s 2024 MD Racing Yamaha R6 represents his record-breaking 29th TT win, making him the most successful rider in TT history.
All fifteen bikes are going under the hammer during a special auction event taking place on Senior Race Day, Saturday 7th June 2025 at 20.30 BST, in the TT Mercury Club. The event will be more than just an auction - it will be an unforgettable evening of entertainment, including dinner and guest appearances, set against the backdrop of TT’s most iconic stories and machines.
