TT ISLE OF MAN: RIDE ON THE EDGE 3

NACON and the RaceWard team, have produced the latest version of the Isle of Man TT Races Computer Game – TT Isle of Man: Ride on the Edge 3.

Allowing anyone to experience the thrills of the world’s greatest motorcycle event, this edition of the TT game is the most realistic, and the most comprehensive yet.

Developed by gamers who specialise in racing, TT Isle of Man: Ride on the Edge 3 breathes new life into the game and offers a brand new, unique experience.

Laser recorded for reproduction at 1:1 scale, coupled with vastly improved bike physics and handling, riding around the gamified Mountain Course is closer to real life than ever before. But players aren’t limited to the 37.73 miles of track; they will be able to explore over 120 miles of Manx roads, including 32 circuits, on 39 different Superbike and Supersport Machines.

Everyone gets an entry to TT Isle of Man: Ride on the Edge 3

The game features options for every type of player, including three difficulty levels, Superbike and Supersport Careers, and online lobbies to play privately with friends or in open leagues worldwide. Not only that, players will have the chance to compete in global leagues that take place weekly and monthly, keeping the excitement of the TT Races going year-round.

With excellent options for customisation and control over conditions on the course including the weather and the use of steering aids, players have maximum control over their experience and learning of the course.

Take on the open roads

Putting the Isle of Man at the centre of the game, the all new “Open Roads” feature will allow relaxed virtual tourism of the Island, a first for the TT Game and Manx games in general, as well as TT race training and participating in challenges.

Players can compete in the open roads mode in competitions on other routes, including the Clypse and St John’s Races, whilst interior Manx Roads can be explored for general exploration and enjoyment of the Island as well as learning handling of the bikes.

What does Davey think?

Keen to see how the game had improved on the previous edition, Davey Todd, one of this year’s most hotly anticipated riders visited the developer studio earlier this year to test the new version.

“TT3 feels like an all new game, which is really exciting. On the realistic mode with realistic settings, the feeling of the bikes feels honestly like real life” Todd is a frequent player of the existing TT games and as many riders do he uses the game to help with his preparations for competing at the Isle of Man TT Races.

The laser scan technology used to map the course in 1:1 scale means that the use of the game can support riders learning the more dangerous parts of the course by heart with last year’s newcomer Milo Ward also being a keen advocate of the game

“I spent hundreds of hours playing the game before my first involvement in the race, and it helped me get much better results,” Davey says. “TT games are still a really big part of my preparation for going to the Isle of Man TT, to keep the course fresh in my mind.”

Whether prepping to tackle the Mountain Course in the future, or getting your chance to race round it in your living room, TT Isle of Man: Ride on the Edge 3 is now available on PC, PlayStation®4, PlayStation®5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S and Nintendo Switch™ .

TT Isle of Man: Ride on the Edge 3 will be available via the TT official online store. The Game will also be available to trial in numerous locations around the Monster Energy Fan Park with opportunities to put your skills to the test and play against some of your TT favourites.
