HICKMAN AND TODD FORM BMW BACKED 8TEN RACING

A new name in the paddock, but with two familiar faces behind it – 8TEN Racing is set to make its mark at the 2025 Isle of Man TT Races, led by Peter Hickman and Davey Todd with full BMW Motorrad Motorsport support.

8TEN Racing has made its intentions clear, confirming plans to compete in the Bennetts British Superbike Championship, the North West 200, and the Isle of Man TT Races in 2025.

In addition to racing, the TT-winning pair will also be at the helm as co-owners of the team.

Rider and co-owner Peter Hickman commented: “The opportunity to co-own and run 8TEN Racing alongside Davey is exciting, and having run my own team across other classes, the experience I have gained over the last few years should put us in good stead to be competitive.

We know the M 1000 RR very well which will allow some continuity, we’ll be looking to continue our success on the roads”

Hickman will be working with Crew Chief Darren Jones, who has held the role of Crew Chief and Team Manager throughout all Peter’s previous TT achievements and has extensive knowledge of the BMW M 1000 RR.

After sharing multiple successes together in 2024, Todd will be working with Crew Chief Stewart Johnstone once again in 2025, after the pair saw success in the form of Todd’s first Isle of Man TT victories at the 2024 event.

Todd added: “I’m really looking forward to this new chapter of my career, riding and co-owning 8TEN Racing. This structure will be a new dynamic to learn, but I’ve seen it work across other motorcycle championships like Supercross.

“I’m excited to be more involved in the dealings of the team, as well as build on the success I had with BMW last year”

Scott Grimsdall, BMW Motorrad Head of Marketing & PR said: “Peter and Davey have such enthusiasm for this new project and will receive continued support from BMW Motorrad Motorsport as they look to continue their respective achievements on the roads.

With a new M 1000 RR for 2025, there is real optimism among us that 8TEN Racing can deliver further success for the brand.”

8TEN Racing will make its debut at the 2025 Isle of Man TT Races contesting the RST Superbike TT, the RL360 Superstock TT, the PE Superstock TT and the Milwaukee Senior TT Races.
