HERBERTSON JOINS WTF RACING
WTF Racing will expand their line-up at next year’s Isle of Man TT Races to two riders with Dominic Herbertson joining current rider James Hillier in the Cannock-based squad.
The team, owned by Alan Gardiner and managed by former racer Paul Curran, will continue to run the CBR1000RR Honda Fireblade in the Superbike and Superstock classes whilst both riders will have a CBR600RR Honda for the Supersport category
Herbertson, 33, joins the team after enjoying one of his best seasons to date on the roads, a year which saw him claim a maiden podium finish at the TT with third place in the Metzeler Supertwin TT Race behind race winner Michael Dunlop and Peter Hickman.
He followed it up with fourth in the second Supertwin encounter whilst he also recorded his quickest lap to date around the 37.73-mile Mountain Course with a speed of 130.497mph in the RL360 Superstock TT Race where he finished ninth. Having made his TT debut in 2014, Herbertson now has 15 top ten finishes to his name with 12 of those coming in the last three years.
The County Durham rider, who is set to make his 50th TT start in the opening race of the 2025 event, can also count victory in the 2018 Junior Classic TT on his CV with 2024 seeing him take four wins at the Cookstown 100 this year.
Along with Hillier, who took five more top six finishes at this year’s TT, which included fourth in the opening Monster Energy Supersport and Milwaukee Senior TT races, WTF Racing will have one of the strongest line-ups on the entry at next year’s TT with team owner Gardner delighted with his new signing.
Gardner, said: "We are looking forward to our 2025 International Road Racing season with Dom. He's someone I've supported for a while, so I am very happy to finally sign him officially and welcome him into the WTF Racing Team alongside James."
