METZELER APPOINTED AS THE OFFICIAL TYRE OF THE ISLE OF MAN TT RACES
Metzeler tyre brand has entered into a long-term deal to be the sole Official Tyre of the Isle of Man TT Races until 2027.
The motorcycle tyre specialist have a long established history in road racing with a number of the leading TT riders already set to run Metzler tyres in 2023 including John McGuinness MBE, Dean Harrison, James Hillier, Lee Johnston, Jamie Coward and David Johnson.
The METZELER RACETEC RR tyres already used by Metzeler riders have been developed thanks to Metzeler's experience in Road Racing competitions which, as is known, do not take place on circuits but on roads which are open to the public throughout the year and where all the situations that any motorcyclist may have to face on a daily basis can be found. And it is precisely for this reason that Metzeler has chosen road racing as a testing and development ground. Thanks to its participation in Road Racing activities, Metzeler has enriched its know-how by giving life to successful tyres, not least the sporty SPORTEC M9 RR.
As part of the tyre category exclusive sponsorship, Metzeler will benefit from a prominent race service location in the race paddock. The sponsorship inventory also includes trackside branding on the Mountain Course which will deliver significant brand exposure through the TT’s extensive UK and international TV highlights broadcasts as well as through the globally accessible live coverage of every qualifying session and race delivered via the TT’s own digital platform, TT+. Metzeler will also gain value with increased awareness through the TT’s rapidly growing digital and social media channels.
